Within the discourse of the running project, several publications, reports and posters have been published as well as presented. On top of that, applications for participation in future conferences are still running. A list of current publications can be found below:


Presentations and Poster

  • In September 2018 Sahrah Fischer and colleagues will participate in a poster presentation at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Conference (18-21.09.2018) in Parma, Italy. The title of the poster is: ”Impact of drought on the nutrient content for food crops: A neglected cliamte change issue?”
  • In March 2018, the two PhD candidates Anna Roehlig and Maria Gracia Glas did oral presentations at the Congress of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) in Hohenheim, Germany. Anna Roehlig held a presentation with the title: “Impact of a community-based nutrition education intervention on child dietary diversity in Kapchorwa District, Uganda“. Maria Gracia Glas presented preliminary results on “Dietary diversity and nutritional status of small-holder women farmers in three African countries“.
  • In January 2017, Dr. Irmgard Jordan did an oral presentation at the Congess of the German Society of Tropical Paediatrics and International Child Health in Heidelberg and in March 2017 at the Congress of the German Nutrition Society on ”Role of video recording in identifying challenges in food preparation and feeding in Uganda”.
  • Erick Maina and Dr. Irmgard Jordan presented two posters at the Tropentag 2017 in Bonn. The titles of the poster were: ”Diet adequacy of male Ugandan farmers – a cross-sectional case study in Kapchorwa District of Uganda” and ”Factors influencing the nutritional status of women of reproductive age in Teso South Sub-County, Kenya”.
  • Sahrah Fischer presented at the Tropentag 2017 in Bonn first results of her study. The title of the oral presentation was: ”What is Planted is not Eaten – Using Production Diversity to Link Agrobiodiversity and Dietary Diversity Environment”. At the same conference she also presented results of focus group discussions held in the Mt. Elgon Region. The title of the poster presentation was: “Saving Mt. Elgon’s Soils – How Relevant is Farmer’s Knowledge in a Rapidly Changing Environment”.
  • In October 2017, students from the University of Hohenheim used the opportunity to get an insight view to the HealthyLAND project in the framework of the Humboldt Reloaded. The results of their work on “Balanced diet through diversified agriculture– chance or dead end?” was presented at the annual meeting of Humboldt Reloaded at the University Hohenheim in October 2017.
  • In March 2016 presented Anna Roehlig the HealthyLAND project at the Congress of the German Nutrition Society with a poster.
